When I first met Shelia Norling, I was a brand new (second career) chiropractor and she was one of my instructors in a training program for increasing awareness. I remember being struck by her clarity and her ability to understand and use the principles she presented. As time passed after that program, she became a friend, a mentor, and a role model for creating an effortless and abundant life. In the time that I have known her, I believe that Shelia has continued to hone her clarity and insightfulness.
She demonstrates her gift throughout this book. You will find that she illuminates many issues that have been stumbling blocks on the road to mastery of our lives. As she explains the issues and the ways to move through them, she states the steps clearly and simply.
Shelia has gleaned many concepts from extensive reading and numerous training programs for increasing consciousness. I believe that her greatest accomplishment is that she has taken these concepts and applied them to her life in the way that a scientist does research. However, for Shelia, her daily life is her laboratory. She reports her results and they are impressive.
Shelia has worked with me and “on” me to perfect some of her concepts. I can say that I have been a successful test subject. Each time she shares a concept or a theory with me, I am always amazed at the simplicity and ease with which she views human experience. She is able to dissect and distill down complex behaviors into simple to understand bits. As a recipient of Shelia’s unique teachings, I can tell you that these concepts are effective.
This is an engaging book. It is elegantly simple in its approach. As she explains the concepts, Shelia tracks with the reader, anticipating thoughts or questions that might be a response to the material presented. She adds in several places that while the material is simple, it is not always easy to implement. She recommends perseverance. Her stories of success imply that the results are well worth the effort. Using these successes as examples, Shelia provides us with the most positive view for our future. She shows us how to change any thought, feeling or behavior that no longer works for us. She provides the tools that empower us to take complete charge of our lives and the paint box to paint our lives in the exact colors and specifications we desire.
As you find yourself reading this book, realize that there is a reason this information has found its way into your life at this time. At some level, you are ready to move forward and begin to increase the level of your awareness and the quality of your life. As Shelia says, we are living in a universe whose order is beyond our understanding and this universe is always working with us towards our highest consciousness.
I hope you will find this book as enlightening, inspiring, and especially as empowering as I have found it. Most of all, I wish you well as you embark on the magical journey of transforming your life.
